Flake Epoxy Pool Deck near Sailfish Splash, Stuart

A Stuart family near Sailfish Splash Waterpark needed a pool deck solution that could handle constant water exposure, bare feet, and Florida sun. Their existing bare concrete was cracking, staining, and becoming dangerously slippery when wet. We proposed a full flake epoxy resurfacing system designed specifically for outdoor wet areas.

After pressure-washing and grinding the deck, we applied a flexible base coat formulated for exterior concrete. A custom blend of tan, cream, and sand-colored vinyl flakes was broadcast at full coverage, then back-rolled with a UV-resistant polyaspartic topcoat. The flake layer provides inherent slip resistance while hiding minor surface imperfections.

The result is a cool-to-the-touch, slip-resistant deck that looks as good after a rainstorm as it does on a sunny day. The family reports that the surface stays noticeably cooler than the old bare concrete, and cleanup after pool parties takes minutes instead of hours.
